This fine group of NYC jazz musicians has a brand of musical sass that spans the hot jazz of the 1930s to the torchy 50s. Lapis Luna plays dazzling JAZZ, SWING and BOSSA NOVA songs the way they were meant to be heard: vibrant, fun, romantic, and cool. The heart of their music draws from the elegant books of Ellington, Mercer, Cole Porter, the Gershwins, and Antonio Carlos Jobim. You hear subtle traces of Billie, Ella, Sinatra, Chet Baker and Nat King Cole.

Jazz vocalist Shawn Clark combines the deep sense of romanticism of a by-gone-era with warm classic vocals. The group has performed all over the USA in a wide variety of settings, at high profile festivals, concerts, and events, and can be heard all over Manhattan, Boston, and the East Coast in such notable places as Blue Water Grill, the Bubble Lounge, Torch, Smalls, Swing 46, the Garage, Marion's, Irving Plaza, Lansky Lounge, and many more! The members have been in music and art publications including Downbeat, Smithsonian, and Art Forum.
